Small business owners today create the vast majority of new job opportunities across the United States, and through the combined sale of their goods and services, account for over 50% of the Gross Domestic Product of the United States as well. Last night Smart Business Magazine in conjunction with the Cascade Capital Corporation selected and honored 41 companies from the Akron/Canton Area during the annual Business Growth Award event. The event was held at John S. Knight Center in Akron, Ohio. In recognition of the existing and increasingly significant role area small companies play towards the continuing economic growth and vitality of our local area, it is Cascade Capital Corporation’s distinct privilege to present its own Business Growth Awards Program. This Program honors small businesses located in Summit, Medina, Portage, Wayne, Ashland and Holmes counties that have prominently increased sales and/or employment over the past five years.
Proudly, both Etactics, Inc. and Open Practice Solutions (www.openpracticesolutions.com) were recipients of these significant growth awards. Etactics received its 11th consecutive award which is quite an achievement. Michael Teutsch, President of Etactics noted, "There were a few stalwart companies that have been award recipients almost every year but that this year they were not selected. Open Practice Solutions, a partner of Etactics, Inc. was a first time winner after being able to qualify under the parameters of size and number of employees. Additionally, Open Practice Solutions received a special award for highest revenue growth by a technology company. This is significant to the Open Practice Solutions team, and their team couldn't be more proud of their growth and success.
